According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and may break from a fall or in serious cases, from sneezing or minor bumps.
The best method to treat Osteoporosis and Osteopenia is PREVENTION! We can’t change our genetics but we can change our lifestyle and diet which can influence our hormones to create more bone instead of digesting and eliminating it.
In the article, Twelve-Minute Daily Regimen Reverses Osteoporotic Bone Loss concludes, “there is qualitative evidence suggesting improved bone quality as a result of the practice of yoga.”
