Yoga Classes Charlotte, NCYoga Instructor

Gaye Forren, RYT

Yoga Instructor

I started practicing yoga in my 40’s. At that time, my life was a chaos of over-commitments, misplaced priorities and well-intentioned mistakes. My yoga mat became my sanctuary, a place where my body, mind and soul were present together. I found that as I began taking care of myself on my mat, I slowly began to make changes off the mat. Simplifying. Breathing deep. Becoming present in my own life.

In 2009, I completed Kristin Cooper-Gulak’s 200-Hr Kunga Yoga Teacher Training at Gotta Yoga. “Kunga” is the Kinyarwanda word for service. I was drawn to Kristin’s practice of yoga as service, and service remains a large part of my practice as a teacher. I believe in the healing power of yoga, physically and spiritually, and that yoga can be made accessible to all. It is my honor to volunteer teach at an addiction recovery program. It is my hope that I can bring to each yoga class a chance to breath deep, to move with intention, and to be present with yourself.

Namaste.
