New to Yoga?
Here are a few things to know...
- We teach All Levels, Intermediate, Basics and Deep Stretch classes. You are encouraged to try them all to develop a well-rounded practice.
- Hydrate Well - Bring water and an electrolyte replenisher. Filtered fountain water available in studio.
- Bring a mat and a towel. Rental mats are available for $2. Tea tree oil provided to spray before and after use to keep it sanitary.
- Do not eat heavy foods two hours before practice.
- Wear fitted, breathable clothing - loose clothing will only get in the way.
- Don't wear strong fragrances to practice - many people have sensitive noses.
- Take your shoes off before entering the practice space - put them under a bench or in a cubbie out of the way.
- Ask questions! Teachers arrive early to be there for you. Please notify us of medical/health concerns, injuries or special circumstances.
- If you must leave early, take a 5 minute savasana (final resting pose) before exiting. Let the teacher know you will be leaving early and position yourself in the room accordingly.
- Turn off your cell phone before class begins.
- Use blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets as needed - provided by the studio.
- Do remember that bodily noises - snaps, pops, burbs, toots and poots - will occur as you move your body and they are normal!
- Give the instructors positive and constructive comments about the class - we don't know how to fix it if we don't know it's broken!
- Relax and remember that this is YOUR yoga - it's not a competition!
- Enjoy your time on your mat - your sacred space.
- We have dressing rooms and showers.
- We offer private instruction for individuals and groups or for special events.
